File Resolution & Size
This is the most common mistake. Digital screens display images at low resolution, but printing requires much more detail.
Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch). Anything less (like the standard 72 DPI for web) will look pixelated.
Physical Size: Create your canvas at the actual size you want it printed (e.g., 10" x 12"). Scaling up a small image later will ruin the quality.
2. Best File Formats
The "best" format depends on how the shirt is being made:
Vector Files SVG: Ideal for logos and typography. It can be scaled to any size without losing quality. These are required for Screen Printing.
Raster Files (.PNG): Best for photos or complex illustrations. Important: Save with a transparent background so you don't end up with a white box around your design.
Avoid: .JPEG or .JPG (these do not support transparency and often have "compression artifacts").
